As you are all aware together we have enjoyed some tremendous success with the introduction of the 2011 Running Board Program from the auto parts blog. As a result of this success we have been contacted by several of our customers asking to make a change to the program: The change we have been asked is to keep our nomenclature uniform across different styles of brackets.
We are immediately refining the criteria of the nomenclature to avoid any confusion of use/style between our previous Lund boards and the “New” Lund Tube Steps. This continuous improvement is based on consumer/customer feedback that we have received. For clarity across all channels of distribution, we have immediately implemented a numbering change to the brackets as they relate to the new tube step. This will not affect any of the Combination kits (boards & brackets) shipped together it.
The only change that will be seen is the following:
The “New” tube step bracket system will be identified with its nomenclature similar to other bracket systems Lund International offers.
Example:
- EZ Bracket – 300XXX For use with the Lund Multi-Fit Running Boards
- OE Style – 310XXX For use with the Lund Multi-Fit Running Boards
- Tube Step – 318XXX For use with the new Lund Tube Step Running Boards
The new running board bracket part numbers are listed in the attached Product Supplement, which contains all of the pertinent product data needed to update systems. The brackets are still priced at $103.00 Jobber, installed in minutes, and feature No Drill installation.
We would like to reiterate that these changes are being influenced by the overwhelming feedback we have received from the field and that there are “NO CHANGES” to the board and bracket combinations. If you or your customers have systems loaded with the board and bracket combination kits, there are “No Changes” to the present ordering process.
